"Aina" 2:50 - Limited Edition Museum Collection Miniature Surfboards
Description
Aina, and its counterpart Kai, were created to represent the natural beauty of Hawaii that Ruben experienced while hiking mountain trails and exploring the depths of the sea. These are reproductions of the original sculptures made from resin and wood. This piece measures 14.5" x 4" and comes mounted on resin.
ʻĀina speaks to land as ancestor, foundation, and responsibility — a core value in Hawaiian life. Rendered as oil on a resin cast from a full surfboard, the piece bridges surf culture with deeper cultural meaning: the board shape becomes a pathway between ocean experience and respect for the ground that sustains everything. ʻĀina is both tribute and reminder — that Hawai‘i is not only scenery, but living land, carrying history, identity, and care.
Each art piece is unique, no two reproductions are the same. Most reproduction art pieces are hand finished by the Artist Ruben Aria Jr. himself. Made in Oahu, Hawaii. For questions, commissions, or comments, please contact us!
