A crucible is where transformation happens — pressure, heat, and force turning one thing into another. Crucible draws on that idea through the surfboard itself: shaped, ridden, marked by impact, then carved into a new identity. At over nine feet long, the piece carries a commanding presence, reflecting the scale of Hawai‘i’s ocean power and the intensity of what it means to meet it. This work is a statement of rebirth — surf culture translated into a lasting, sculptural legacy.
