Our lives are journeys between the underworld and the heavens—at times passing through flames, at others floating among the clouds. Crucible of Venus explores the transformation that occurs when life takes us apart and reassembles us. Rising through fire and clouds, a winged goddess emerges renewed.
Created before the devastating Lahaina fire of 2023, the work later took on an unexpected resonance as a symbol of loss, resilience, and rebirth.
