Cocoon is a small mixed media sculpture by Hawaiʻi artist Ruben Aira Jr., created from fiberglass scraps reclaimed from surfboards. Curled and spiraling fragments in amber, cream, and sage green emerge from a dark marbled base, transforming leftover surfboard material into a dynamic study of movement, renewal, and becoming.
