Rise
Created during the forced stillness of the pandemic, Rise grew from a deep desire for hope, freedom, and movement at a time when the outside world had suddenly narrowed.
The work carries an upward emotional pull — a call to move beyond confinement, uncertainty, and fear with strength and courage. Rather than dwelling on the weight of that period, Rise looks toward what comes after: liberation, renewal, and the possibility of joy returning.
Throughout Ruben's work, transformation often appears in the moment between one state and another. In Rise, that threshold becomes deeply personal — the determination to lift beyond circumstance and move toward light.
