Seaflower #7 is a mixed media surfboard sculpture by Hawaiʻi artist Ruben Aira Jr., created from repurposed surfboards and layered sculptural materials. Part of his Seaflower series and the collection Noses Tails & Fins: Surfboard Resurrected, the work merges Hawaiian flora and marine life into a dimensional celebration of land, sea, and renewal.
Selected for the Artists of Hawaiʻi Biennial 2024 at Downtown Art Center, Seaflower #7 reflects Ruben’s distinctive practice of transforming surfboards into fine art.
